I'm delighted that in the Budget the Chancellor has announced a £200 million fund to connect primary schools to high speed broadband. These connections can then be used as hubs for local communities to get reliable, fast broadband as well. This builds on the Government's aim for nationwide coverage of full-fibre by 2033.
Kent County Council is working with national Government to roll-out high speed internet across the county. Faversham and Mid Kent has a particularly high number of very rural areas which are hard to reach. However, financial help is available to help to install connections, and Parliament has recently legislated to put access to fast broadband on the same legal footing as other essential utilities like electricity and water.
