Winter has finally arrived over the last few days, with frosts coming thick and fast and the coldest January night in 15 years.
I know that for many pensioners struggling to heat their homes this winter, this is the last thing they need. It lays bare the Chancellor's decision to cut Winter Fuel Payments for millions of pensioners and I’m starting to hear more about how difficult this is proving for people.
I’ve been contacted by pensioners, families and charities who are worried about people struggling to pay their bills, and I’m trying to support people where I can.
To help me do this up here in Parliament, I'd like to hear from more of you about how it has impacted either you or the organisation you work for.
Are you someone who has missed out on the Winter Fuel Payment this year? Has it changed how you’ve decided to budget for heating this winter, or are you worried about going into debt?
Or are you a charity providing a warm space for pensioners, or a local GP surgery, seeing an uptick in patients who are sitting in a chilly home?
