Great news for Faversham and Mid-Kent: Unemployment is down 19.2% since last year. That means 113 people who were unemployed have found jobs in 2015. And the number of people stuck on Job-Seekers Allowance for over a year is down nearly 30%.
In the country as a whole, average weekly pay went up by 2.9% compared with last year. Meanwhile inflation is low, so we should all start to feel like we have more money in our pockets. Things are looking up!
I'm so pleased that this Government's plan is delivering for Kent. We're getting more people into work and making work pay.
