Last week I met my MP HERo Denise Kesson in Parliament.
MP HERoes lets MPs nominate female entrepreneurs in their constituency for outstanding achievements or successes, and earlier this year I nominated Denise.
She runs Kesson Physiotherapy, a physiotherapy clinic based in Faversham which recently won Small Business of the Year at the Kent Excellence in Business Awards 2021
During the pandemic it was one of the only physiotherapy providers to offer a consistent, uninterrupted, and accessible virtual NHS physiotherapy service in Kent. Then within six weeks of the first lockdown it was able to offer Covid-Secure face-to-face sessions again.
They've also set up outdoor sessions in Faversham to improve local residents’ health, and have sent a goal of getting 2 million people involved in their ‘Move Better. Live Better’ programme over the next five years.
It’s fantastic to have businesses like Kesson locally, and I’m so impressed to see them going from strength to strength during such a difficult time.
Business is no longer a man’s world, and that’s in part thanks to brilliant entrepreneurs like Denise.
