Our roads here in Kent are in serious need of attention. Potholes have become a huge pain in the neck for motorists– and fixing them is a must do for almost everyone I speak to.
In November we got the good news that £8 billion is being spent nationally to resurface and repair more than 5,000 miles of road - with £135 million being invested in Kent over the next 10 years.
At the end of last month, KCC announced their Pothole Blitz, a programme for dealing with the roads most in-need of repair over the next year. The work was started by KCC Highways in March and will continue through to Autumn. The first roads have been announced this month, and I’m told there will be more announced soon.
It's really important to make sure your local roads benefit. If you know a road in need of repair or a pothole that has been bugging you, please report it to KCC using the link below - and get it on the list for repair.

This funding is so important in keeping Kent moving. The more potholes reported and repaired across Faversham and Mid Kent, the better everyone’s journeys will be. Whether it is the school run or the commute, journeys will be faster, easier, and safer.
After the good news about Brenley Corner and Bluebell Hill at the end of last year it is great to see the good news keep flowing for Kent's roads. I’m going to keep pushing to make sure improvements happen as soon as possible.
