The Roads Minister John Hayes has issued a written statement to the House of Commons, putting in record his commitment to tackling fly-parking.
He has pledged to take action on:
- The join up between national and local planning frameworks
- provision of lorry parking facilities
- minimum standards at such facilities
- payment systems for facilities
- enforcement against lorries parking in the wrong places
