Broomfield and Kingswood residents are being asked to comment on new policies to guide development of their area. The parish council has prepared a neighbourhood development plan setting out a sustainable vision and policies the community want to be used to determine planning applications for the area.
Maidstone Borough Council is consulting residents on the plan, which will then be subject to an independent examination, and then a referendum of local residents will be held to decide if the plan should be adopted.
Consultation will start on 6 November 2015 when copies of the Broomfield & Kingswood Neighbourhood Development Plan and supporting documents will be available to view and download at: http://www.maidstone.gov.uk/consultations. Hard copies will also available for public inspection at:
